The book was nicely constructed with heavy duty pages and the directions for recording were clear and it was easy to do. My only complaint was the playback had slight background noise in it. This noise sounded like a whirring and scratchiness on some of the panels. However, my granddaughter loved it and immediately recognized both grandma's and grandpa's voices.

Great book, but after spending over an hour on it, we found out you must have a very bright light shining on it (or sunlight) or the book will not match the correct recording with the right page. I thought it was broken at first, but after an online search found the need for 'bright' light. I don't think my 2 year old neice will be careful to find a bright light before reading it. Essentially, the book doesn't work well.
